The Fishful story
In Korea, dried fish isn't a trend. It's tradition. The kind of snack you share with friends, bring to the table and reach for between sips. Salty, savory, wonderfully simple. We thought it was about time more people got in on the good stuff.

The tradition
In Korea, drinking rarely happens without something good to eat. It's called anju (안주): food made to be enjoyed alongside a drink. Think good company, something cold to sip and something salty to snack on.
Fishful is our little contribution to the table.

Meet Claire, founder
Some people show their love with words. Claire shows hers with food. She's the friend who's always cooking, always sharing and always making sure nobody leaves hungry.
She grew up in South Korea, where dried fish was a beloved everyday snack. She didn't come from the food industry. She came with a cook's instinct and a certainty that she was sitting on something worth sharing.
So she took a snack she's always loved, gave it a Pacific Northwest twist and turned it into crispy baked fish fries. Because the best snacks aren't meant to be kept to yourself.
Our mission
Korean snack traditions. Pacific Northwest fish. A whole new reason to reach into the bag. We're bringing something different to snack time: inspired by Korean flavors and made to be shared.
Why the Pacific Northwest
Claire found the perfect foundation right here on the coast: Dover sole, a mild, flaky white fish caught in West Coast waters. Season it with the Korean flavors she knows best, bake it until it crunches, and you've got something genuinely snackable.
Some things travel well. This is one of them.
